Tour of Rocky Mountain National Park – Fern Lake Trail

Tour of Rocky Mountain National Park – Fern Lake Trail

June 17, 2020 by Darin Gibby

With travel options limited, I decided to do a different hike each week in RMNP.  This week Tal and I took the Fern Lake trail, heading past Spruce and up to the Divide.  As you can see, there is still lots of snow and it was a bit tricky, but well worth it.  It’s usually July before we can get up, so I was a bit surprised me made it in the second week of June.

When we started the hike, there was a large herd of elk in Moraine Park.  It’s the most I’ve seen in the park.
