Pear Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park

Pear Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park

August 22, 2020 by Darin Gibby

I did my last hike of the season to Pear Lake in RMNP.  I love this hike as you pass Finch lake and a really cool lily pond.  I wanted to go to the Hutcheson lakes above Pear, but after all the hikes this summer I was completely worn out.  Plus, the fishing for Greenback Cutthroats in Pear was really good so I just spent the day there.  With all the wild fires, hiking is out for the rest of the season.  Plus, we are heading to La Jolla for a bit to enjoy some surfing and do a bit of writing.
